Occasionally, you may notice a small blue or green marking on pieces of beef in certain raw blends.

This coloration can come from a denaturant used during processing to identify meat designated for animal food and prevent it from entering the human food supply. The marking itself does not indicate mold or spoilage.

The color may become more noticeable after the ingredient is ground and mixed into the finished raw blend.
